PRAB HO MONUMENT FESTIVAL AND RED CROSS FAIR 2016

The Prab Ho Monument Festival and Red Cross Fair is held annually to commemorate the combat heroes who sacrificed their lives during the Ho Tribal Rebellion in 1884-1886. This year, the event will celebrate the 130th anniversary of the victory.

Highlights are the spectacular “Legend of Prab Ho Warfare” light and sound presentation, performed by over a hundred performers, so that the spectators will understand the glorious history our ancestors had achieved during the old time.

9TH THAILAND INTERNATIONAL BALLOON FESTIVAL

The skies of Chiang Mai province is once again set to be the magical backdrop for the 9th Thailand International Balloon Festival, which will be held at Payap University during 4-5 March, 2016.

Balloon pilots from all over the world including from India, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Germany and many other countries will be joining the festival to perform the spectacular balloon show in the north of Thailand.

Bangkok takes top ten spots in two internationally renowned travel surveys

Bangkok, 26 February, 2016 – Bangkok’s status as one of the world’s most popular destinations was reaffirmed recently with the city winning accolades as the World’s Second most “Liked City” on Instagram, as judged by airport transfer company Hoppa, and voted Sixth Best Overall City in the World, and Third Best in Asia, by readers of influential travel publication Travel + Leisure. CHINA TOWN

WAT PHO

Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimonmangkalaram or Wat Pho, as it's commonly known, was built in the 16th century and regarded as the royal temple of the reign of King Rama I, is famous for two things: (1) the 46-meter-long Reclining Buddha built in 1832 featuring the feet beautifully inlaid with mother-of-pearls and (2) the Thai massage.

Wat Pho is also regarded as the country’s first public university as when King Rama III ordered a restoration of the temple, he demanded a revision of lost sciences, segmented into eight categories and engraved them onto several stone inscriptions (later been registered the UNESCO Memory of the World since 2008)
